Aggravated

So much for a "summer" project.

As much as I do want to get this project done, sometimes it's hard to stay upbeat about it. I had hoped to get it largely finished by the end of the summer, but as it's looking now a winter end date will be much more likely. At this point, out of the 9-10 songs I have to do, I've got 3 in some stage of being finished and 6-7 that haven't even been started.

Music, for me, is sometimes a love/hate relationship. I love doing it, often I love the process and the end result. But sometimes there are aggravations and annoyances that go along with it which, in retrospect, are often quite small, but at the time seem big enough to make one wonder, "Why do I even bother?"

Nevertheless, I'm sure these tunes will eventually get done, and I'll be happy about it. And next time I'll have that much more experience, and probably be more stringent, about managing a project like this.
